Ngā Manu Kōrero regionals


Congratulations to all that competed at the Ōtākou/Murihiku regional Ngā Manu Kōrero competition held in Dunedin recently. We are incredibly proud of our He Waka Kōtuia speakers who were lucky enough to receive the best possible result for their hard work and preparation.



Ripeka Potiki (Y10) placed first overall for the Sir Turi Carrol, junior English, section. Cai Heperi (Y12) Placed first in impromptu, first in prepared and first overall for the Korimako, senior English, section. Te Atarau Cassidy (Y10) placed first in the Rāwhiti Ihaka, junior Māori section. Kiringaua Cassidy (Y13) placed first in impromptu, first in prepared and first overall in the Pei Te Hurunui Jones, Senior Māori, section.



This qualifies all of our speakers to compete at the National Ngā Manu Kōrero competition to be held in Palmerston North this September.
