Bathgate Park School invited us to perform at their celebration of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori. We hadn't had a performance since March and although we had started practices back we were a long way off where we might have been had Covid not put paid to our preparations for Nationals and Polyfest.
We decided to put up all of our performers, even the new ones who had not performed for us before. Once the performance started our seasoned performers clicked straight back in to performance mode and, like a lion released from a cage, came out strong. Many of newer performers were taken aback at the intensity that our seniors brought to this performance as they hadn't experienced that from the lines before.
It was great to have had the opportunity to perform again and really appreciated the invite.
